Roll Play Serves Up Casual Vietnamese, Plus More Openings

An oyster bar quietly opened in McLean and more.

1) TYSONS CORNER: New Vietnamese restaurant Roll Play had a soft opening over the holidays. Banh Mi, spring rolls and iced coffee appear to be among the offerings. A Don Rockwell poster notes the ordering system is via kiosk. This is from the same ownership as the Chasin' Tails restaurant group. Status: Soft opening. 8150 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, Va.; website.

2) MCLEAN: A tipster brings word of the opening of Social Oyster Bar, though it looks like they've been open for some time now. The menu has oysters, skate wing, steaks and rack of lamb. Chefs Gift Thongpukdee and Chef Jeff Barillo are behind the place. Status: Certified open. 1307 Old Chain Bridge Road, McLean, Va.; website.

3) ADAMS MORGAN: Czars 11 has opened in Adams Morgan. Borderstan notes it's in the former Pi Pizzeria space. It will serve international tapas from multiple countries. Status: Certified open. 2309 18th St. NW; website.
