Little Sesame, Las Placitas Open

New hummus and new Salvadoran.

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

1) DUPONT CIRCLE: Little Sesame officially opens today in the basement of DGS Delicatessen. This is their all-hummus restaurant, similar to those found in Israel (as well as Philadelphia's Dizengoff). They'll serve composed lunches including rotating hummus bowls, salad and pita with prices ranging from $8-12 on weekdays. EditLab designed the space with whitewash brick and a basket-weave floor. Status: Certified open at 11:30 a.m. 1317 Connecticut Ave. NW (basement); website.

2) NAVY YARD: Las Placitas is now open at its new location, according to JDLand. This is the second home for the Salvadoran restaurant, originally found on Barracks Row. Status: Open. 1100 8th St. SE; no website.
