Mehak Indian on 7th Street, Asian Bistro in Silver Spring Both Closed

1) FARRAGUT SQUARE: Mehak has closed, according to Penn Quarter Living. A representative for the restaurant confirmed to Eater that they lost their lease. All the furniture has been removed from the building, and one of the front windows is reportedly damaged. The Indian restaurant had been a fixture on 7th Street NW since 1991. Diners can still find similar food at Mehak's sister restaurant— Rasoi is located at 1810 K St. NW.

2) SILVER SPRING: East Moco reports another shutter in Montgomery County on the heels of yesterday's news. Asian Bistro has closed in downtown Silver Spring. The restaurant, which specialized in both Chinese and Japanese cuisine, has already sold its contents.
