Warm up by the scorpion bowl flames at The Royal next Monday. Guest bartender Lukas Smith of Dram & Grain is collaborating with The Royal's Bar Manager Lee Carrell on a series of 8-10 tiki cocktails on January 11 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The scorpion bowl in question will be topped with Rujero singani, a Bolivian brandy. The bartending duo will also showcase a slew of South American spirits like Avua and Boca Loca cachacas, El Dorado and Ministry of Rum Collection rums from Guyana, and more. Expect pisco-filled fruits and shaved ice cocktails.
The Royal will be decked out in a tropical theme complete with island flicks on the projector. The inspiration for the night comes from the Kon-Tiki expedition of led by Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl in 1947.
