A new European bakery will specialize in merveilleux (pronounced "mair-vè-y-eu") , a trendy pastry with layers of merengue and ganache.

Borderstan reports Un Je Ne Sais Quoi will be the replacement for the closing Hello Cupcake in Dupont. It will be located at 1361 Connecticut Ave. NW and likely open next month.

The bakery's owners are French expats Aude and Francois Buisine.
