Saigon Kitchen, a Home for Fry Brothers, and More Construction Updates

Chipotle, True Food Kitchen, and more in Plywood Report

1) NAVY YARD: The same development getting fast-casual restaurant Rasa will also house a Chipotle. This is the residential community named F1rst. Both restaurants will open next spring. Chipotle will be about 2,700 square feet in size. [PLYWOOD]

2) BETHESDA: The True Food Kitchen location opening in Bethesda is aiming for early 2017. The latest branch of the health-conscious restaurant is in the Solaire Bethesda building. [PLYWOOD]

3) GLOVER PARK: From strip club to Vietnamese food: Saigon Kitchen will replace JP’s Strip Club at 2412 Wisconsin Ave. NW. PoPville reports it will have room for about 100 diners, according to a liquor licenses application. [PLYWOOD]

4) SHAW: Acclaimed Ethiopian restaurant Chercher (they recently were one of Michelin’s Bib Gourmand designees) is getting a refresh. They have new signage up and will get a back deck and new windows, too. [POST-PLYWOOD]

5) ATLAS DISTRICT: The Fry Brothers now have permanent home within Star & Shamrock starting Friday. The fry company will be at the bar Fridays and Saturdays starting at 7 p.m. (Bullfrog Bagels is housed there in the mornings). [POST-PLYWOOD]
