LOUDOUN COUNTY— Here’s an update on B Doughnuts, which revealed plans to open in Leesburg last spring. The goal for the new shop at 7 Loudon St. SW is winter of this year, but they’ve run into delays (as well as a baby on the way). [FB]

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Here’s a pumpkin-themed dish that’s a world away from pumpkin spice lattes. Spice-6 has added pumpkin to its vegetarian topping offering for the season (through Thanksgiving). They’re also celebrating Diwali with a party on Oct. 30 in Hyattsville. [EaterWire]

PENN QUARTER— Chef José Andrés will host a late night event for Anthony Bourdain this Thursday to celebrate the personality’s new cookbook. It will be at Oyamel and be Day of the Dead themed. Tickets are $65 and the event starts at 10 p.m. [EaterWire]

NAVY YARD— Whaley’s monthly farmers, fishers, and producers dinner series is back Thursday, Nov. 3. Next up is a salute to wild mushrooms. It’s $75 for four courses. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN—A new shareable recipe at DBGB: Choucroute. The dish combines multiple cuts of Spring House Farm pork (from headcheese to shoulder to confit belly) with boudin blanc, crispy ribs, and roasted leg. It’s served with sauerkraut, carrots and potatoes. Chef Ed Scarpone first learned how to make the brasserie dish, which is popular in Europe, working at db Bistro. Find it Sunday nights at the restaurant. Price is $55 for a two-person serving ($25 per additional diner) and it hits the menu this Sunday. [EaterWire]
