Sad news for ShopHouse

A big reveal in yesterday’s earnings call with Chipotle: the company plans to no longer invest in its ShopHouse concept, which has a major presence in D.C. No word yet on what this means for existing stores; Eater DC has reached out to the company for further information. [E]

Controversies

K Street Club Shadow Room has been fined $5,000, along with several other penalties. The club was found by regulators to be serving alcohol to teenagers. [Borderstan]

Lawsuits

The owners of casino Maryland Live! are threatening to sue the Bethesda Jazz and Supper Club, which has been pursuing a name change to Bethesda Live. The club has hired a lawyer to fight the challenge. [BM]

Beer Here

Though late October doesn’t tend to scream outdoor drinking weather, that isn’t stopping Arlington. A pop-up beer garden is coming to Rosslyn on Thursday. [ARLNOW]
