Barracks Row Restaurant Name Changes, Chinese for McLean, And More Updates

1) CAPITOL HILL: A couple of switcheroos over on Barracks Row. Irish bar Molly Malone’s has been renamed Finn McCool’s (which was its name back in the day). On the same street, Mexican restaurant Pacifico Cantina has been christened Tio Javier. Both are back under the ownership of restaurateur Xavier Cervera, Barred in DC reports. His seafood restaurant Chesapeake Room is also undergoing renovations. [POST-PLYWOOD]

2) SHAW: The chef behind the upcoming Unconventional Diner is Central’s David Deshaies. The target for this project is now next spring; it’s opening by the convention center. [PLYWOOD]

3) MCLEAN: Asia Origin will be the next restaurant from chef Liu Chaosheng (Mala Tang, Hong Kong Palace). Find it at 1753 Pinnacle Drive by Nov. 18. Expect both traditional and more Americanized Chinese offerings. There’s seating there for about 100 people. [PLYWOOD]

4) ATLAS DISTRICT: The newish Taqueria Rosticeria Fresca on H Street NE is looking to serve alcohol. [POST-PLYWOOD]
