Arlington is losing one of its ambitious Mexican restaurants.
Fuego Cocina y Tequileria is closing its doors at 2800 Clarendon Blvd. (part of the Market Common development in the Arlington neighborhood. The multi-level restaurant opened around this time in 2012. The restaurant, part of the Passion Food Hospitality group of restaurants (District Commons, Acadiana), was known for its tacos, tequila drinks, and other Mexican fare. Its last night of service will be Sunday, October 16.
The restaurant plans to offer several specials up until its closing date, which it will promote on social media.
"We've loved being part of this dynamic and welcoming community, but at this time, the location ultimately does not fit into the goals of our professional direction," said partner Gus DiMillo in a statement. "We’re proud to have made strong, loyal friendships here in Clarendon, and we hope we’ll continue to see many of our Fuego patrons around town in the future."
