1) Check out Verizon Center’s newest lounge

What: For the Wizards’ first Friday night game of the season, check out the brand new Beck’s Lounge that just opened on the 400 level. The beer-branded lounge is open to the public, and all-inclusive packages ($55 to $125) include a game ticket, buffet, unlimited beer, wine, and soda, and a Wizards T-shirt.

When: Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.

2) Novemberfest

What: Rustico’s 10th anniversary party coincides with its 5th annual Novemberfest event, culminating with an outdoor block party featuring 78 local beers and ciders. Accompanying dishes will include whole smoked pig, sausages, and fried chicken. Also expect wine from Barboursville Vineyards, local bluegrass bands, and games. Get $25 tickets here.

When: Nov. 5, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

3) Old-Fashioned Month at Bourbon

What: All of November, the Adams Morgan bar shines a spotlight on the classic whiskey cocktail with five featured cocktails playing off the traditional old-fashioned recipe. Where There is Smoke ($12), for instance, pairs Fidencio Mezcal with an agave-tamarind syrup and angostura bitters.

When: Now through Nov. 30

4) DC Beer Festival

What: Expect dozens of local and craft breweries and seasonal winter beers, as well as bocce and DJs. Admission is $45 and includes unlimited tastings, with food sold separately (FYI: tickets won’t be sold at the door).

Where: 1500 S Capitol St. SE

When: Nov. 5, with choice of two sessions: 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

5) DC Champagne Week Official Launch Party

What: Kick off the inaugural DC Champagne Week at Proof Restaurant on Sunday night. The wine bar will be featuring a special DC Champagne Week menu, including flights, all week.

Where: Proof, 775 G St. NW

When: Nov. 6, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
