D.C. is getting another Caboose
Caboose Brewing Company/Facebook

1) FAIRFAX: Brewpub incoming! Caboose, makers of craft beer, are crafting a brewery at Mosaic and has gotten approval to serve its beers, along with food. The brewery should open sometime next year. [PLYWOOD]

2) PARK VIEW: An Indiegogo campaign is wrapping up to bring Midlands Beer Garden to 3333 Georgia Ave. Seems like it should open any day now, as there’s a sign-up on their website for info about an opening party. [POST-PLYWOOD]

3) DUPONT CIRCLE: IcyCode, the shop specializing in ice cream rolls, opens this weekend, and is offering free treats to visitors. [POST-PLYWOOD]

4) DUPONT CIRCLE/ADAMS MORGAN: Marble Alley, a bar from Trevor Frye, former beverage director of Jack Rose Dining Saloon, is due to open in Adams Morgan in February of next year. But the bar is doing a kind of trial run with its cocktails (heavy on sherry, whiskey, Chartreuse) at Hank’s Oyster Bar on November 20, its the second R&D outing. [POST-PLYWOOD]

5) LOGAN CIRCLE: It’s been in the works for quite some time, but Benito’s Place, at 1437 11 Street NW, is said to be opening in about a month. It will serve Salvadorean, Guatemalan and Honduran food. [PLYWOOD]
