Pizzagate Charges
A grand jury has brought more charges against the Comet Ping Pong shooter, Edgar Maddison Welch, reports DCist. Not only will he face federal charges (interstate transportation of a firearm and ammunition) but also two city laws: assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence. Welch faces a maximum of 35 years in prison. [DCist]
Order with Ease
If it’s the thought of actually ordering food at Rose’s Luxury — not the weird waiting system — that’s been keeping you away from it and its ilk, take heart. Eater has a guide to ordering at intimidatingly trendy restaurants, which D.C. is kind of getting full of. [E]
Damn Good Pasta
Washington City Paper found out why the pasta over at Sfoglina was so dang good — just so happens it’s being made by bona fide Italian (and award winner) Simonetta Capotondo. Capotondo isn’t planning to be a kitchen regular, however, having only committed to working the kitchen while the restaurant gets its bearings. Her main focus is training staff. [WCP]
Nog Crawl
What could be more festive for the holiday season than egg nog? The answer is nothing. Thankfully DC Refined has a whole list of where to grab a nog in the city this season — from “aged” nog at the Riggsby to a mezcal-infused nog at Proper 21. [DCR]
