Intimate Cocktail Bar, Thai, Cuban, and More Construction Updates

1) BLOOMINGDALE: “Intimate cocktail bar” The Truxton Inn is coming to the corner of Florida Ave. and 3rd Street NW. in early 2017. It’s from the team behind McClellan’s Retreat. [PLYWOOD]

2) DUPONT: When one door to STK closes, a door to City Tap House opens, apparently. CTH is coming to the former lady-friendly steakhouse, bringing a second location of the restaurant and bar to the corner of Connecticut and N Street NW. [PLYWOOD]

3) ARLINGTON: Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant is getting a second location in the area. Taking over The Corner Tex Mix space at 1621 S. Walter Reed Dr. The owner hopes to open by January. [PLYWOOD]

4) ADAMS MORGAN: Cuba Cuba Corner is coming to AdMo’s main drag, taking over the space previously occupied by Czars 11. The sign at 2309 18th St. NW promises “Spanish-Cuban Cuisine” and says it’s coming soon. [PLYWOOD]

5) LEESBURG: NorVa is getting another coffee shop in Portside Coffee & Bakery, to be at 442 Madison Trade Plaza SE. Expect drip coffee and a full espresso bar, in addition to baked breads and desserts. [PLYWOOD]

6) BRIGHTWOOD: Imm Thai (which will be known as Imm on Georgia) is coming to 5832 Georgia Ave., NW, taking over the spot of the former Brightwood Bistro. This will be the third area Imm Thai location. [PLYWOOD]
