Taco confusion

UPDATE: Borderstan confirms the restaurant is temporarily in delivery-only mode as it does some construction repairs and remodeling.

Mama Chuy appears closed to PoPville. Eater called the restaurant; no one is answering and the voicemail box is full.  [PoP, Borderstan]

An ounce of Brotein, please

Washingtonian coins some new goofy restaurant terms to play to recent trends. Among them: linejacker (like someone paid to stand in line at Rose's Luxury) and Entreetizer (bigger than an app, smaller than an entree). The example for the latter (scallop boudin blanc at Convivial) is pretty spot-on. [Washingtonian]

Switcheroos

Veranda closed recently for renovations, but sounds like it's more than that. The wine bar will reopen as The Commodore Public House and Kitchen. [PoP]

Crimewire

A man has been arrested for his alleged part in the fatal stabbing that occurred there in late January. Barcode was ordered closed for a few days as a result of the incident. [Borderstan]
