Obama and Movie Stars Hit BLT Steak; Bar à Vin Sets Opening Date

FARRAGUT WEST— Tipsters tell Eater that President Barack Obama hit up BLT Steak for dinner last night. There is Instagram evidence of the visit as well; apparently Tom Hanks and Morgan Freeman also were at the restaurant. BLT Steak declined to comment on the visit to Eater. [Tipline, DCist]

GEORGETOWN— The owners of Chez Billy Sud have set an opening date for Bar à Vin. The wine bar next door to the restaurant will officially open on February 29. The beverage list will focus on French wines but also offer cocktails and beer. [EaterWire]
