Massimo Fabbri's casual Italian restaurant Posto has closed its doors at 1515 14th St. NW.
The owner told Washington City Paper that the restaurant has struggled since the explosion of competing eateries in the 14th Street corridor. Posto, known for its pastas and pizzas, was one of the pioneers during the beginning of Logan Circle's restaurant renaissance. Early on, it was a hot spot among celebrities and young political bigwigs, particularly during the early years of the Obama administration.
Eater has reached out for any further details on the closure. Fabbri continues to operate the more formal Ristorante Tosca Italian restaurant downtown.
