Shirlington's Palette 22 Takes Diners Around the World in 30 Small Plates

More than 30 different small plates help make up the menu for Palette 22, opening today in Shirlington.

The restaurant is art-themed, with works from local artists decorating the walls; designed by Beckmann Architects, the 206-seat space also looks like a studio, and some artists will even create works on site at the restaurant. There's an open kitchen and a patio to come.

Street foods are a focus of the menu from chef Graham Duncan (the corporate chef from Alexandria Restaurant Partners, which owns Palette 22). Dishes range from ceviche to Peking Duck and moo shoo pancakes, as well as Vietnamese sugarcane shrimp and fish tacos. Sangria and cocktails can be found on the drink menu. Here's the full menu:
