Flying Dog Goes All-In on Spicy Beer

Flying Dog isn't shying away from spicy beers. In fact, they have a whole series devoted to them this year.

The Frederick-based brewery's Heat Series debuted this month. The first release is an Oaked Chipotle Ale (on shelves as of Monday). Still to come later this year: an Ancho Lime Paradise Lager, a Carolina Reaper Peach IPA and a Jalapeno White Ale.

The local brewery is no stranger to heat. Its Old Bay-spiked Dead Rise summer ale spawned a spicier spinoff called the Double Dead Rise last year.
