Five Things to Know About Bonfire, Including Bartenders with Blow Torches

Things are going to get smoky.

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Next up for Dupont Circle: Bonfire, a fire-themed restaurant and bar. Here are the need-to-know details:

*The fire theme is pretty pervasive, including cocktails with smoked ingredients, charred wood design accents and even campfire-influenced dishes like s'mores push pops. Even the bartenders will carry blowtorches, notes Washington City Paper. Naturally, there will also be a fireplace, according to a press release.

*Expect drinks that highlight aged whiskeys, rums and brandies.

*The space at 1132 19th St. NW (formerly Famous Luigi's) stretches over two floors and is designed by Swatchroom. There are two separate bars, a private dinning room and a rooftop patio.

*Mid-March is the opening target.
