1) Spice Dinner

What: 2941 hosts its annual eight-course spice dinner. Tickets are $95.

When: Sunday at 5 p.m.

2) Chili Cook-Off

What: Hill Country's annual event brings together amateur chili cooks across the area. There's live music, too. Tickets here.

When: Saturday at 1 p.m.

3) Ramen World

What: This ramen event, now in its second year, will host several area ramen chefs and mark the debut of upcoming restaurant Bantam King.

When: Sunday at 2 p.m.

4) Cupcake and Macaron Tour

What: Tour D.C.'s cupcake and pastry purveyors in this Georgetown walking tour. Tickets are $50.

Where: Starts at Old Stone House Park

When: Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m.

5) All Set Live

What: All Set kicks off its live jazz night series, this time featuring Marcus Johnson. Tickets are $13.28.

Where: All Set, 8630 Fenton St., Silver Spring, Md.

When: Friday at 10:30 p.m.
