Multiple seafood restaurants, a distillery and several fast-casual options have joined the lineup of restaurants opening at The Wharf Development in Southwest.
The Hoffman-Madison project announced a finalized list of restaurants opening in its first phase of development. New reveals coming to D.C. in fall 2017 include:
*Hank's on the Water, a an "urban beach food" seafood restaurant from Hank's Oyster Bar's Jamie Leeds.
*Potomac Distilling Company, a commercial rum distillery from PX's Todd Thrasher (it will also feature a two-story tavern).
*Another location of Rappahannock Oyster Bar
*Kirwan's, an Irish Pub from Mark Kirwan, a native of Ireland
*Outposts of Taylor Gourmet and Dolcezza Gelato
These restaurants join such previously-announced projects as Del Mar, a Spanish seafood restaurant from Fabio Trabocchi, and Requin, Jennifer Carroll's Mediterranean restaurant she's opening with Mike Isabella (and currently previewing in Merrifield). Cantina Marina will remain open in the development.
The development will feature restaurants beyond the first slate. The company confirms it is still in talks with several chefs and operators. Cathal Armstrong has announced his plans to open an Asian restaurant there, too.
