Say goodbye to the science-themed joint.

After 10 years in Dupont Circle, Science Club has closed its doors for good, reports Borderstan. A goodbye party — for staff and friends — was held this past Saturday Night.

Science Club owner Steve Maguire told Borderstan that the reason for the closing was because he was ready for a change (not, he said, because of financial trouble or weak business.) Fans of the 19th St. establishment will be happy to know that the infamous monkey statue that stood outside the spot has been donated to the owner of U St.'s Dodge City.
