All Purpose will be all about strong, fermented-crust pizzas, lighter eggplant parm and old-school Italian cookies, reports Washingtonian. The forthcoming Shaw restaurant, a joint venture between Red Hen's Michael O'Malley, Michael Friedman and Sebastian Zutant and their Bloomingdale neighbor Boundary Stone, is set to open this April on 9th St. NW.

Washingtonian got the scoop on how the menu is shaping up. Pizza crusts will undergo a three-day fermentation process, so that they can stand up to folding; toppings skew high-end, with combos like black truffle and wild mushroom. Also on offer will be charcuterie made in-house, next-level antipasta salad and nostalgic desserts. Read the full report here.
