iThai, in Tyson's Corner, has undergone a subtle — yet significant — makeover, moving a few doors down from its original Westwood Center Dr. location and changing its name and menu. Now at 8603 Westwood Center Dr., Side Street & Sushi Bar by iThai will now prominently feature Japanese delicacies as well as lesser-known Thai dishes (which is where the "side street" concept comes into play.)

These Thai dishes move beyond pad Thai and into authentic street food territory. Some offerings include Gai Yang (chicken marinated for 24 hours then grilled and served on skewers, with sweet chili dipping sauce) and Chicken Volcano, a whole marinated Cornish game hen, grilled and served with herb sauce.

Side Street and Sushi Bar by iThai is taking pains to source ingredients from only genuine Japanese and Thai vendors, adding to the authentic guarantee of the dishes. The new concept, which can seat 75, is now open.
