Crowdfunding for suds

A new brewery is in town — well, trying to be. Grail Point Brewery is on Kickstarter, looking to raise $25K to start brewing beer by year's end, reports Northern Virginia Mag. They're looking to produce in Sterling, at the facilities of Beltway Brewing Co. [NorVa Mag]

Duffy's sans Duffy

Duffy's is losing its namesake, reports Borderstan. Andy Duffy is (again) packing up and leaving the District for a warmer clime — Florida and Costa Rica, to be exact. Previously, Duffy packed up and left for Florida in 2014, closing the bar at 2106 Vermont Ave. NW. This time, however, the bar is staying open. [Borderstan]
