Crawfish and cold beer definitely bring the warmer months of the year to mind. Several restaurants get in the Louisiana spirit each year. Eater will keep track of boils popping up around town this spring and summer. Here are the earliest examples:
Pinstripes D.C.: Pinstripes has scheduled its Crawfish for Cancer boil for April 30. The annual event, which benefits Multiple Myeloma research, features live music, cornhole, bocce and more. Tickets start at $70 if purchased early.
Pearl Dive: Pearl Dive's annual crawfish boil is on the calendar for April 23. They'll serve up crawfish, red potatoes, smoked sausage, cole slaw, fritters, and more. There are dishes like roasted gator on the menu, too. Tickets are $50 or $70 including drinks.
Society Fair: Larry's Crawfish Boil at this Alexandria spot is scheduled for April 23. A $35 ticket buys crawfish, potatoes, corn, and sausage.
Acadiana: A $65 ticket will get attendees crawfish, shrimp, gumbo, corn, hand-pies, pralines and more at Acadiana's event, scheduled for April 23. Tickets here.
Brookland's Finest: The Brookland neighborhood restaurant has partnered with Denizens Brewing Company for Crawfish Boils each Wednesday this spring, beginning April 13. Those who attend can pair crawfish cooked in Pilsner with potatoes, corn, and sausage with flights of Denizens Beers. For $25, diners get the boil plus a flight.
