Fast-Casual Ethiopian Food is On the Way to Columbia Heights

Enter LaTena.

A new fast-casual Ethiopian restaurant is opening at 3100 14th St. NW in Columbia Heights.

LaTena will serve traditional dishes like tibs, stews, salads and vegetarian entrees. There will be seating for 20 in the cafe and 30 in the dining room. They'll feature specialty coffees and teas. They'll even offer a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony on Sundays in the summer.

Expect wifi, a children's menu and a choice of injera, wraps, bread or rice. The restaurant comes from owner Yamrot Ezineh. A spring opening is planned.
