Whiskey & Oyster, a 4,400-square-foot combination restaurant/bar/raw bar, is coming to Alexandria, reports Washington Business Journal. This new spot (which will sit at 333 John Carlyle St.) will focus — no surprise here — seafood. The WBJ article says to expect a raw bar offering at least six types of oysters and some kind of seafood tower, in addition to whatever seafood dishes the not-yet-named chef comes up with. It's an effort from the Homegrown Restaurant Group, the brains behind other NorVa spots Sweet Fire Donna's, Holy Cow and Pork Barrel BBQ.
