Pizzeria Vetri could open in D.C. as soon as June.
A spokesperson confirmed to Eater via email that the summer month is the target date for the pizzeria from chef Marc Vetri, though she did not have further information. Washington Business Journal spotted a permit yesterday for the location at 2221 14th St. NW.
Pizzeria Vetri, whose pizzas are acclaimed in Philadelphia, has been eying the D.C. market since October 2014. The company indicated the 14th and V location was on the table last June. The group was sold to Urban Outfitters last November.
