Oklahoma Joe's Aims to Open in Virginia This May

Rib experts Oklahoma Joe's are inching closer to opening their first area location.

President Rick Moore tells Eater they're aiming to open their Dunn Loring location around May 1. That restaurant is bound for the Shops at Avenir Place near Merrifield.

Moore says the team also is still aiming to open a restaurant in D.C. as well. They're in the process of touring locations and could have an announcement by summer.

Oklahoma Joe's serves up such barbecue items as brisket, ribs and chicken.
