ADAMS MORGAN— Surprise time. Dr. Clock's Nowhere Bar reopened in Adams Morgan. Same vibe, same place. [WaPo]

VIRGINIA— Interesting — Rappahannock Oyster Company is looking to revive Chesapeake scallops. They're working to turn them into a commercial product — and feature them at their restaurants (including two in D.C.). The scallops have been extinct in the bay since the 1930s. [BJ]

EXPANSIONS— Turkish bakery Taskin's of New Jersey is looking to expand in the D.C. area. The bakery's wholesale operations expand across the country. [Saveur]
