Chef Haidar Karoum is leaving his trio of restaurants: Estadio, Doi Moi and Proof.
The chef will move on to new projects, but did not provide details or a departure date to The Washington Post, which reported the story.
Karoum has been with the company behind the restaurants for nine years. He opened them with D.C. restaurateur Mark Kuller, who died in 2014. Jason Kuller, his brother, now runs Fat Baby, Inc., the company that owns the restaurants.
The restaurants are now in the hands of Rufino Bautista (Estadio), Brittany Frick (Doi Moi/2 Birds 1 Stone) and Ben Schramm (Proof), the report said.
