Pinea Adds a New Bocce Bar, Just in Time for Warm Weather

Starting tomorrow, bocce enthusiasts can play just a few steps away from the White House.

Pinea, the restaurant inside the W Hotel, has installed a bocce bar on its outdoor patio on Pennsylvania Avenue. They're offering two types of bocce balls: the 114mm standard ball and a glow-in-the-dark variety.

The two bocce courts and full outdoor bar will be available every evening (6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) except Wednesday through October. In keeping with the European theme, Stella and Peroni specials will be available.

Guests can reserve a bocce court by placing a reservation on OpenTable or by calling the restaurant directly.

Pinea will soon be one of many local restaurants and bars offering outdoor games for the season.
