Aaron Silverman Named One of Food & Wine's Best New Chefs

It's a good week to be Aaron Silverman.

Today, the brains behind Rose's Luxury was named as one of Food & Wine magazine's Best New Chefs for 2016. It's kind of a big deal. He's one of 11 that were chosen — and former winners of this title include big-name culinary stars like April Bloomfield and Thomas Keller (among plenty of others.)

Also this week? Pineapple & Pearls, Silverman's second restaurant, is set to open. The itty-bitty coffee shop bearing the same name opened in February — the fine-dining counterpart, which is located in the back of the Barracks Row joint, is set to open this Thursday, April 7. Washingtonian gives a run-down of the menu (and boozy offerings) to stoke the flames of excitement.
