Chix is indeed opening a third location  at 1210 Half Street, SE. Signs emerged last week that the newest location of the fast-casual chicken restaurant was coming to Navy Yard.

The 1,972-square-foot space will have about 45 seats. The style will be similar to the other two Chix restaurants—  casual, simple, and constructed using mostly repurposed, recycled, and eco-friendly construction materials.

Like the other locations, the menu (below) focuses on quarter, half, or whole chicken meals. There's also wraps, gluten free "chop bowls," salads, and soups. The new location will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Takeout and delivery will be available.

A July opening is the goal, owners Lukas Umana and Victoria Garcia-Umana tell Eater. The husband-and-wife team opened the first Chix restaurant in 2007 and another in 2013.
