Falls Church's Open Road will open a second location in Navy Yard at 99 M St. SE.
The bar and grill joins sister restaurant Circa in the same building, which is being developed by Skansa. A press release from the developer says the restaurant's decor will lean industrial, and it will serve cocktails, lots of whiskey and local craft beers. The restaurants together will occupy about 8,400 square feet, but won't open until 2018.
The original Open Road has a motorcycle theme, and draws crowds that range from sports viewers to families. It serves up dishes like steak salad, smoked wings and sandwiches, and has live music and several happy hour specials like $1 oysters.
