Tragedy in Tysons
A former cook at the Silver Diner in Tysons crashed his Hummer repeatedly into the restaurant yesterday, injuring four. The company said on Facebook today, "We are shocked and saddened by the incident at our Tyson's location today; our hearts go out to the families and friends of those injured." The restaurant said it also plans to pay its employees for lost wages during the repairs. [Fox/FB]
Mystery restaurant for sale
Transworld Business Advisors of Chevy Chase sent out an email blast announcing a restaurant sale. The company would not disclose specifics about which restaurant is for sale to Eater, but described it in the e-blast as, "Going on its third decade, this northwest DC Italian mainstay, located in one of the most sought after locations in the metropolitan region, welcomes its affluent loyal clientele with a warm smile, a glass of wine and a crusty slice of freshly baked bread."
