1) Colony Club's anniversary

What: Colony Club turns one and parties with food trucks, a tap takeover, karaoke and more. Info here.

When: Saturday all day

2) Embassy Tour

What: One of the most festive parts of the month-long PassportDC celebration is this, where embassies open up their doors with food, art, dance demos, and more.

When: Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

3) D.C. Funk Parade

What: Expect beer gardens, a parade, live music, DJ parties and more at this annual event; several U Street-area restaurants are participating, and there will be food trucks as well. Info here.

Where: U Street NW

When: Sunday beginning at noon

4) Vinofest

What: Yards Park will host this wine festival, bringing together wine tastings, live music, and restaurant samples. More info here.

Where: Yards Park, Water St. SE

When: Saturday at 3 p.m.

5) Kentucky Derby parties everywhere

What: Tons of restaurants are getting in on the Kentucky Derby action. View Eater's guide to the best offerings here.

Where: Various locations

When: Saturday (for the most part). Race is scheduled for 6:34 p.m.
