IVY CITY— Washington City Paper reports Republic Restoratives will open its tasting room this Sunday. It's the city's first women-owned distillery. [WCP]

K STREET— Sugar, a sweets-themed bar on K Street, has been ordered to pay thousands in fines and surrender or transfer its liquor license, according to Borderstan. D.C.’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Board says the business has illegally served minors several times during the past several months. [Borderstan]
