It's the official opening day for the revamped, multi-million The Watergate Hotel. The historic property is now the home to three different dining destinations.

Kingbird is the main restaurant for the property, which has a big bar, outdoor seating, and a prix-fixe menu. The restaurant's food has both American and French influences. The Next Whisky Bar (which has a curved wall of bottles weaving throughout the space), focuses on bourbon, whisky, and rye (there's cigars there as well). Meanwhile, Top of the Gate is the rooftop lounge, outfitted with a fire pit and heat lamps for the cooler months. There, they'll offer bottle service and Asian street food, alongside cocktails.

The Watergate Hotel kicked things off last evening with a black-tie opening party. Food was clearly a focus at the event, with items like whole fish, Prime rib, foie gras toasted marshmallows, sparkling wine with cotton candy, Sour Patch Kids popcorn, duck soup dumplings, and more being served at the gala.
