Some shuffling in the world of D.C. food media — Jessica Sidman has taken a position as food editor at Washingtonian.
Sidman has worked as food editor at The Washington City Paper since 2012. She was hired for Washingtonian by editor Michael Schaffer, who also hired her at her previous position at WCP. "She's become known as a great champion of DC's restaurant scene and a colorful reporter about the people behind it," Schaffer said in a statement in Washingtonian.
The hire comes not long after critic Todd Kliman left the magazine (Kliman will now work as a contributing editor, according to the announcement). Ann Limpert has been promoted to lead food critic at the paper, with Anna Spiegel rounding out the team.
