The rumors are true— Boston-based burger chain Wahlburgers is coming to D.C. later this year. Founded by the Wahlberg brothers (yes, actors Mark and Donnie, in addition to executive chef Paul), the 6,500 square foot storefront will open at One Dupont Circle.
Expect a fast-casual counter, full-service dining room, bar, and outdoor patio decked out in the same signature green decor of the other Wahlburgers locations. There will also be a retail section stocked with t-shirts, key chains, and shot glasses for all those Wahlburger merchandise needs.
The menu includes burgers of course, but also crispy haddock, chicken, and gluten free and vegetarian options. Other popular items are onion rings, tater tots, and frappes and floats.
The chain, also the subject of a reality television series, has been rapidly expanding since last year. The Dupont Circle location will be the first of several planned for the D.C. area, with more in the works for Virginia and Maryland.
