Jose Garces' Latin American-themed food hall is slated to break ground June 13.

The project has been several years in the making. According to the groundbreaking alert from developer EDENS, the project is slated for 1270 4th St NE, which will also be the home of other residential and retail development. They describe the Garces project as a "Latin marketplace" that will bring together the "best in Latin cuisine and culture including food stalls and provision shops curated by Garces along with his own celebrated dining concepts."

Details on the project have been relatively slim so far, though more will likely be released at the June event. Garces already has a presence in D.C. with his Rural Society restaurant, and has been planning a location of his Village Whiskey, which is known for burgers.
