Jarrod Markowski is The Source's new pastry chef.
Markowski spent five years working as a pastry chef in China for China Food Couture Ltd Co., which should inform his work at the Asian-influenced D.C. restaurant. The Pittsburgh native has also worked at restaurants in Virginia, Ohio, Alabama, and Las Vegas.
Markowski will update the dessert menu at The Source, which also has a few more menu changes up its sleeve. There are new lounge menu dishes like a Sichuan "fish and chips" and a soft-shell bao, as well as a $35 multi-course lounge tasting menu.
