Bantam King Starts Lunch; Changes Ahead for Alfie's

Plus, it's Shark Week at Requin and Drift

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

MERRIFIELD, SHAW— It's natural that the restaurant with a name that means "Shark" would celebrate Shark Week. Requin has cocktail, dish, and dessert specials for the promotion, including a "blood in the water" cocktail. They'll even screen some "Shark Week" content at the bar. Meanwhile, Drift on 7th has a $10 "shark bite" cocktail and a $2 "shark bait" special. [EaterWire]

PENN QUARTER— Chicken ramen for lunch time. Bantam King has kicked off its lunch service. [EaterWire]

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS— Lots of stuff going on with Alfie's chef Alex McCoy. He's closing his pop-up at the end of July. Alfie's will reopen, but not in Petworth as originally planned. And he has additional restaurants in the works, too. [WCP]
