DOWNTOWN— Washington Post has details on the José Andrés restaurant that would have been at the new Trump Hotel. The chef had considered a Spanish-Japanese concept inspired by a group of Japanese diplomats who settled in Spain in the 17th century. Andrés backed out of the deal last summer following Trump's remarks about Mexican immigrants. The presidential candidate is now suing. [WaPo]

GEORGETOWN— The Poop Gate saga at Nick's Riverside Grill continues. Washington City Paper reports the restaurant's owner now admits to a case of mistaken identity.[WCP]

FOGGY BOTTOM— George Washington University students are getting some new dining options, according to Washington Business Journal. Wiseguy NY Pizza, sister concept Beef ’n’ Bread, Chick-fil-A, GRK Fresh Greek, and Sol Mexican Grill will all operate inside the new District House dormitory at 2121 H St. NW. [WBJ]

NOMA— The D.C. location of TD Burger is now offering a deal on weekdays from 4-7 p.m. The Bud & Burger promotion promises a George Washington Classic burger and draft Budweiser, all for $5. [EaterWire]
