The District Doughnut pop-up in Georgetown opens today in Cady's Alley. Expect a similar lineup of doughnuts to the original Capitol Hill location, along with coffee and espresso from Compass Coffee.
Owner Greg Menna worked with his father and brother to create all of the woodworking finishes and design touches for the pop-up, using wood from his family's own White Oak barn. The space also features art from local artist Taylor Kampa.
The pop-up is a partnership with Eastbanc. The Georgetown development company aimed to see some activity in the retail space before finding a permanent tenant. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. District Doughnut plans to do the pop-up through the end of the year.
