Mike Isabella will make a foray into Spanish cuisine with Arroz, which is now opening in not one, but two locations around town.

The concept was previously planned for the chef's upcoming food hall in Tysons Corner. The company announced today that Arroz will also open in D.C.'s Marriott Marquis hotel downtown in early 2017. The restaurant will focus on the cuisines of Valencia, Andalusia, and Portugal, along with some dishes from Tangier and North Africa. The hotel restaurant will open ahead of the Tysons location.

Naturally, given the restaurant's name, rice will be a focus, with paella, soupy rice, and fideos all featured. They'll also serve tapas, tagines, and family-style dishes. Expect Iberian wines, too, plus sherries and ports. The restaurant has space for nearly 250 people.
