1) KENSINGTON: Savannah’s American Grill has closed its doors in Kensington. Bethesda Magazine reports the restaurant was struggling to draw in enough customers. It opened in 2001 at 10700 Connecticut Ave., and was under new management as of earlier this year.

2) BETHESDA: The Connor Building in Bethesda is losing two restaurants: Kabob Bazaar, which offers kabobs and related fare, and Philadelphia Mike’s, a cheesesteak place. Bethesda Magazine reports the latter hopes to find a new location near by, but the former is less optimistic. The building is located at 7720 Wisconsin Ave. NW, and is being demolished to make way for a hotel.
